Shedding Our Silence  (S.O.S) is having a Fashion Show  November  3, 2012 to benefit our group and also The Helping  Hands Ministry of Calvary Chapel Worship Center.

The Helping Hands Ministry  has a food pantry with clothing and household items for the needy. We are in desperate need of gowns, shoes, jewelry, boots whatever you are able to donate for this very worthy cause.

If you are local to us we can pick it up. Ask your neighbors, friends and families if they can help us out. Get involved in helping out others, it’s a rewarding ministry. Please contact me  or Pastor Estell Keshock  via this blog  or Facebook.com .

Today was such a wonderful day, we had our Tea Party. S.O.S ( Shedding Our Silence) womens group and Daily Transformation Church in New Port Richey, gathered together to teach and socialize on “The Beauty Within”. Pastor Estell  taught on the comparisons between our growth in Christ and the growth and release of a caterpillar from larvae, cocoon and finally a  butterfly of many  beautiful colors. We had good teaching,  Praise and Worship, music, fellowship with many sisters in Christ. The group effort in setting up the night before and the final arrangements prior to the Tea are depicted in the many pictures. It’s so nice when everyone can work together for a common goal. The Tea was a big success thanks to all who assisted, participated and collaborated. The table settings were nicely done with just the right feminine touch. The was a large variety of teas to choose from and a drawing for lovely baskets.

A big thank you to Pastor Freddy, Todd, Marisol, and the parishioners  from the Daily Transformation Church (see their Facebook  link in link section). Thanks also to all the lovely ladies that came to our Tea Party.

I hope we get to see you at our meetings on Wednesdays at Pastor Estells’ home from 7pm – 9pm. We also have a few more functions coming up, that you might be interested in being a part of.

After all being a good servant is one of the things Jesus wants of us. We need to be more obedient and not disobedient to the Lord. If you don’t already serve somewhere please consider doing so. We need to be part of the bigger picture and serving the Lord is certainly a good way to do just that.

I just visited another great blog, The Maya  Guesthouse Project. They are making a guesthouse from straw bales. Reusing the heat generated to make hot water. Go to the blog site and see for yourself. I’m going to have to start a new category for the eco-friendly items I come across. I can’t wait to share all these new places with the SOS group. See links section under “Eco-friendly ideas , places and items for sale”

This is actually the second Tarpon Springs Craft we were set up at.The previous one in February I had forgotten my camera. These pictures are similar to what the others would look like. This time there were less visitors. But there were many other events going in Tarpon Springs at the time. It’s a happening little city.

We had several people stop by and ask about Diana’s bags. They saw the article in the St. Petersburg times and were so complimentary. Unfortunately Diana was not there that day, she was not feeling well, Pastor Estell and I were there helping here out. It was a beautiful day to be outside.

As you can see by one of the photos I was also selling my tee shirts there for SOS. Both Diana and I help sow in the SOS ministry. If you want to know  more about SOS , Bags by Diana , my tee shirts , or The City of Tarpon Springs, see side links.

A friend of mine in SOS makes awesome pocketbooks, book bags and bible covers from recycled plastic bags. What a gift to be able to do that. She was  even interviewed by a newspaper reporter for the local section of   The St. Petersburg Times. We also shared a booth at a Tarpon Springs event. What interesting bags, you would not even think it was made from  recycled plastic bags. She said it’s God inspired. I believe it. Below is a link to her website. Please feel free to check it out. She also sows into SOS ministry. If you are interested or just plain curious about the SOS ministry check out the sidebar information for the email address to contact the Pastor .

Do you have any giftings? Write a comment and share with us.
